We have no confirmation on this, and don’t expect any in the near future, but according to DailyTech, Dell is in the process of squeezing a new display into their lineup, right between the 24-inch 2407WFP and 30-inch 3007WFP (pictured above). The 27-inch display, according to DailyTech, will be called — wait for it — the 2707WFP, and will reportedly be built around Samsung’s LTM270M1panel, which has a 1900×1200 resolution, 1000:1 contrast ratio and 90-degree viewing angle. We’re not sure what the pricing or timing will be on this, though we suspect that if Dell really is planning on rolling it out, the company will want to give the 2407WFP a bit of a head start. After all, the price difference between the two may not be too extreme, and if this one’s just around the corner, it could just undermine sales of the 24-incher, which is expected to go for about $1,000.
