SBP-2 is an implementation of the ANSI SBP-2 specification that is used to encapsulate small computer system interface (SCSI) requests over an IEEE 1394 bus. The protocol provides support for IEEE 1394 printers, CD-ROMs, DVDs, scanners, and storage devices. With Microsoft Windows 2000 and Windows XP, support for IEEE 1394 storage devices, CD-ROMs, DVDs, printers, and scanners is available through the SBP-2 port driver.
