Couple of notes from AMD's analyst day presentations:
- 2007: Quad core
- DDR2 for now. FB-DIMM is too power hungry (8.5W/memory channel was the quote)
- 65nm in 2nd half of 2006
- 45nm in 2008
- Will license coherent HT to some people to allow development of chip accelerators for things like Java, XML, and technical computing
- New core in 2007 for server/mobile/desktop
- No dual core in value in 2006
- FPU extensions at some point (new core)
- On-chip co-processors
