Country road, take me home
To the place I belong,
Northern Taipei, YangMing Mountain,
Take me home, country road.
All my mem'ries gather 'round her,
Miner's lady, stranger to blue water.
Dark and dusty, painted on the sky,
Misty taste of moonshine, tear-drop in my eye.
Country road, take me home
To the place I belong,
Northern Taipei, YangMing Mountain,
Take me home, country road.I hear her voice, in the morning hours she calls me,
The radio reminds me of my home far away.
And driving down the road I get the feeling
that I should have been home yesterday, yesterday.
Country road, take me home
To the place I belong,
Northern Taipei, YangMing Mountain,
Take me home, country road.
Take me home, country road.

Like the moon her kindness is
If kindness I may call
What has no comprehension in't
But is the same for all
As though my sorrow were a scene
Upon a painted wall
