MaxBlast 基本上是一個 M 牌在 DOS 下規劃硬碟的另外一個工具
PowerMax 主要是檢查硬碟的錯誤 也會產生 RMA 所需要的錯誤號碼
也會做基本的 LLF (LOW LEVEL FORMAT)

MaxBlast 是一個 GUI 的界面
可以規劃一個硬碟的分割
可以幫忙設定硬碟
也可以做 LLF
這時候有分兩種 (如果我記得沒錯)
1. Fast Zero Write (快速的 Zero Write)
2. Zero Write (normal) 按照普通的速度做 Zero Write
看硬碟的大小 我記得上次我用這個做 120GB 的 Zero Write
寫了兩天兩夜

MaxBlast 也會給你一些詳細硬碟的資料
這些都是在 PowerMax 上面沒有的

MaxBlast 算是規劃硬碟用的

MaxBlast 有蠻多的功能
要你自己看了才會明瞭
也有很多 M 牌 HDD JUMPER 的 SETTING 在裡面


我記得 PowerMax 跟某些 nVidia 的 CHIPSET 會有衝突

Note: PowerMax v 4.21 will not detect ATA or SATA hard disks connected to embedded or add in RAID controllers, NVIDIA Force 3, Force 4, VIA KT 600 and KT800 chipsets. If the hard disk is connected to an unsupported controller, it will have to be moved to an alternate system, or controller for diagnosis. Please check the PowerMax download page periodically for updates. Beginning March 1st 2005 all versions of PowerMax prior to v4.21 will no longer be supported. Maxtor recommends that you update to version 4.21 before testing your hard disk.
