以 Lite-On 的 DVD-Recorder 為例,
EEPROM 中紀錄的是這台燒錄機的相關參數, 包括雷射頭功率校準, 區碼, 韌體資訊,等...
FIRMWARE 是紀錄在另一顆 FLASHROM 上, 類似主機板的 BIOS 部分, 控制整個 RECORDER 的動作, 當需要相關參數的時候, 再從 EEPROM 中去讀取.
其實以 MEDIATEK 的晶片組為基礎的相關 DVD-ROM/RECORDER 都應是如此..

我有一台4KUS 1S40(=401S) 用 OminiPatcher 把官版軔体破解在執行弄成 1S81(=811S)，但是目前所有片子都不能讀且LED一直閃，我想改回去，但當初只backup了EEPROM 的 BIN 沒有 backup Flash，可以改回去嗎？要怎麼弄呢？

Method 1: OmniPatcher (universal method)
Download an unscrambled stock (i.e., original) firmware for the drive that you are flashing to from either our firmware page or dhc014's firmware page.
Download the OmniPatcher and read the documentation carefully. For the best compatibility, please make sure that you have version 2.2.0 or newer.
Load the stock firmware with the OmniPatcher and apply the crossflashing patch (and while you're at it, any other patches that you want). When you are done, save it.
Flash your drive with the OmniPatcher-patched firmware that you have just created. If your patched firmware is a flasher (i.e., with a .exe extension), simply double-click on the patched firmware and follow the instructions. If your patched firmware is a raw binary firmware (i.e., with a .bin extension), please use LtnFW to flash your drive.
