劇情簡介：
　　因為母親再婚，史考提（湯姆堅瑞飾）舉家搬到鹽湖城附近的一個小鎮。棒球是小鎮上孩子們最熱衷的運動，但是，史考提從來沒有玩過。附近八個年紀相仿的小男孩常在沙地上打棒球，史考提在教練班尼（麥克威特 飾）的介紹之下加入了球隊。教練班尼曾經是棒球場上的傳奇人物，這九個沙地上的小英雄們在班尼的訓練之下，會再度延續這樣的棒球旋風嗎？此片具有英雄式的勵志效果，值得闔家觀賞。
tScotty Smalls moves to a new neighborhood with his mom and stepdad, and wants to learn to play baseball. The neighborhood baseball guru Rodriquez takes Smalls under his wing, and soon he's part of the local baseball buddies. They fall into adventures involving baseball, treehouse sleep-ins, the desirous lifeguard at the local pool, the snooty rival ball team, and the travelling fair. Beyond the fence at the back of the sandlot menaces a legendary ball-eating dog called The Beast, and the kids inevitably must deal with him.
