This is not related to Windows XP directly, but a common question which many people at my work have asked!
If you have install Adobe Acrobat 6, you may of noticed that a folder is created in your My Documents called "My eBooks". And even if you delete it, the next time you open Acrobat the folder will be recreated.
This is the result of the "ebook.api" plugin for acrobat.
Navigate to c:\program files\adobe\acrobat 6\reader\plug_ins
and move ebook.api to
c:\program files\adobe\acrobat 6\reader\optional
Now you can permanently delete the My eBook Folder.
NOTE: Only do this if you do not plan to use the ebook plugin.

If you have Adobe Acrobat instead of Adobe Reader, you might try moving the copy in:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 6.0\Acrobat\plug_ins
I did this, (moved both), and it seems to be gone (for now ... :-)
