My personal experience: honesty can get you a nice girl-friend, no matter same or different nationality.

If your initiative is that American girls are easier to have sexual relationship, I advice you not to even start it. You are going to end up nothing. But, if you treat them nice and fair: making friend with them just like you would do with common male friends, you might get someone nice at the end.
