P-3 1.4-s效能足以跟P4 1.8G看齊,甚至上探P42G.
當時是因為打到Intel自己的高時脈=高效能的戰略,所以被打入桌上系統的冷宮
但是他的低耗電,低時脈高效能的特性被Intel看上拿回來做筆電
不過P6已經到了極限,這是不爭的事實,
就算轉入90耐米製程,P6的極限大約在2.2~2.4G, 這是管線階數的先天限制,沒法說提升就提升的
若是要再增加效能就需要其他的方法比方說加大L2, 提升外頻...等等
而且P6在SSE2的效能不彰,又沒有SSE3, 已經很難再與AMD的新CPU抗衡
海法的科學家們爭氣點...再出一顆經典的CPU造福大眾吧
