Hello Allen
Thank you for your inquiry to Samsung Semiconductor.
I want to confirm below some points with you for our reference.
Could you give the answers you can?
-) How did you find this fake IC issue?
-) Are you personal user in VGA card?
-) Can you know the real IC maker described as "VDA" on the surface of the memory IC?
-) Through which route can we bought this VGA card for our investigation?
I will be very appreicated if you can give the answers as much as you can give

If you have any further questions, please send us an e-mail again or visit our Homepage(http://www.samsungsemi.com).

Sincerely,
Semiconductor Division
Samsung Electronics co,.Ltd.

您可以試試看用下面的方法回

1. The issue was first exposed on the internet. In this discussion thread
http://forum.pcdvd.com.tw/showthread.php?t=426946
This fact was later reported on the Taiwanese TV News where you can download a caption at
http://myweb.hinet.net/home1/seifer/files/re9550-2.mpg
http://myweb.hinet.net/home13/hbkxxx/re9550-3.mpg

2. I am not an owner of a remarked card myself.

3. That mark is V-Data, a brand name for lower priced memory from the AData corp
http://www.adata.com.tw/en/new.htm
A memory module manufacture which is a customer of samsung.

4. If you want to buy a video card with remarked memory for invistigation the best way might be to contact
http://tw.user.bid.yahoo.com/tw/sho...serID=shop2004p

they are a reseller of the video cards which uses remarked memories and have hold on to a few stock as evidence.

I think they would be very welling to provide samsung with a sample to use in court.

thank you
