~600 USD is NOT cheap. Go check out what's considered cheap on US hardware review sites. More like somewhere in the region of 400-500 USD. If 600 was cheap those LCDs would be flying off the shelves, which is not definitely not the case right now.

And retailers rip consumers off too much here in Taiwan. Plus a lot of them provide shitty services. It's sad that only a few of them can even compare to their counterparts in Canada/US. Such utter disregard for consumer rights will make a store disappear within months in NA.

BTW, don't go assuming I'm speaking as if I don't actually know how it is in US/Canada, because I lived there for more than 12 years.
