The success in Japan has led MLB International to seriously explore sending an All-Star team next November for four games each in Korea and Taiwan where baseball is growing by leaps and bounds. Australia, which upset Japan in the medal round of the baseball tournament at the Athens Summer Olympics, could host a tour by 2009, Small said.

"We've been over in Korea and Taiwan having talks and trying to find a promoter," Small said. "We've had a number of conversations and that (a 2005 tour) is a real possibility."
