要是先把Promise上的HD拔掉呢??
|
Thanks for the advise. I removed the Promise ATA controller and the situation is still the same. I called Gigabyte this morning, one technician suggested it was a RAM issue, the other said I need to load nVidia ATA drivers first. Both solutions failed.
I will take my system back to the store tomorrow and see what they can do.
At this point, I am starting to suspect a faulty ATA controller instead of drive failure because the chances of two harddrives crashing the same time is fairly remote. If that is indeed the case, I might come back with a 36G Raptor and another 200GB SATA tomorrow. (Maybe a FX-55 too...

If I can get one.) If it is a problem with the board, I hope the store can give me a replacement board.
Thanks for any help.
