Theater 550 Pro解調器只用一顆A/D轉換器就能近乎完美地將A/V訊號分離到數位區間，幾乎消除了所有A/V載體之間的交錯干擾（也就是說，視訊輸出裡的920KHz寄生干擾訊號）。除此之外，獨家的數位解調技術能讓分離的音訊與視訊訊號維持平坦的頻率響應，因此可以得到最佳視訊解析度和色彩重現，而完全消除音訊噪音。最後，Theater 550 Pro的多標準IF解調器也作了最佳化，以便儘可能地達到最佳的A/V性能。舉例來說，未加權（un-weighted）的視訊SNR會超過50dB，用傳統的類比（離散式或IC）解決方案則很難達到這種程度。
