終於得到太陽誘電公司(Start Lab)證實V-Star之身世,
這下大家可以一掃心中所有的疑雲了! ^^

1.V-Star確實為三菱向日本太誘下訂單製造的片子,
由"太陽誘電"生產製造.
生產的片子要以三菱旗下的的品牌行銷,而三菱決定的品牌就是V-Star.

2.而V-Star除了是太誘製造之外,不與太誘之That's系列有任何關聯,
都以"三菱Verbatim"的名義行銷,
所以原本日本有家網站以"太誘OEM"名稱行銷,已更正成"三菱".

以下是太陽誘電公司回覆:

Thank you for choosing “That’s” brand recording media.
We would like toexplain the issue of “V-STAR” brand media,
which is described as a lineupof “TAIYO YUDEN” products on
some Web Sites.

“V-STAR” brand, that includes CD-R, DVD-R, and DVD+R, is products that
Mitsubishi Kagaku Media consigned TAIYO YUDEN to produce as OEM and
distributes to the markets outside Japan. Under an agreement of both
companies, Mitsubishi Kagaku Media and TAIYO YUDEN, V-STAR brand media uses
the Media ID of TAIYO YUDEN, however, TAIYO YUDEN produces them to meet a
requested specification of Mitsubishi Kagaku Media. Therefore, Mitsubishi
Kagaku Media owns the right to trade these V-STAR products that are not a
new product lineup of TAIYO YUDEN nor merchandises of Start Lab that is a
TAIYO YUDEN’s distributor.

Some Website introduces this brand as a new product lineup TAIYO YUDEN
recording media, however, Start Lab or TAIYO YUDEN is not related to the
distribution or price setting of V-STAR products. For the question of V-STAR
products, please ask Mitsubishi Kagaku Media for their details.

We apologize that the announcement of this products on some Website confused
you. We would like to manage distribution strictly not to happen again.
