镍氢电池也有记忆效应，只是没镍镉电池明显。当然，从延长使用寿命角度来看，在充放电30－50次左右，可以做一次深度放电，以恢复到最大容量。 ....同理，镍镉电池和镍氢电池都不被推荐用于遥控器之类的小电流电器。 从电池使用寿命角度来看，慢速恒流充电无疑是对保证电池寿命最好的方法。但从时间就是金钱的角度来看，快速充电器节省下来的时间所带来的效益，远比损伤电池寿命10％左右的损失大得多。这也是为什么快速充电器十分流行的原因。

IMPORTANT CARE & HANDLING INSTRUCTIONS FOR NIMH BATTERIES
1. Do not deep cycle NiMH batteries as permanent damage could result.
2. NiMH cells do not exhibit the “memory effect” like NiCd cells, so little cycling is needed.
3. Store NiMH packs with some voltage remaining on the cells.
4. Use a NiMH battery pack no more than three cycles per day, with a two to three hour break in-between for cooling. More frequent use is likely to overheat the pack.
5. NiMH cells have a self-discharge rate of approximately 20-25% (compared to 15% for NiCd batteries). Thus, if NiMH
batteries have been inactive for more than a few days it is important to recharge them immediately prior to use.
