今年七月初在光華[紐頓]買的一顆WD 80GB是JB型號的
前幾個禮拜意外的喪生了，不知為何不能存取資料亦不能作format動作
連Partition Magic對它也無法存取
拿回去維修，今天拿回來的...

以下是用Data Lifeguard Online Diagnostic出來的資料

讓我意外的是model no.為何是WDC WD800PB-00EPA0
是PB耶！？不是JB
這也是8MB buffer的版本嗎？

更讓我驚訝的是，我用warranty check出來的結果
Status:No Limited Warranty
Exp. Date:Not Applicable

而WD對No Limited Warranty的解釋...
This indicates that either the Product was originally sold to a system manufacturer or the Product is outside the region(Americas, Europe-Middle East-Africa, or Asia-Pacific) where it was originally shipped. Please contact the system manufacturer or the place of purchase for warranty service.
這意思是我這一顆HD是沒有保固，當然也沒有所謂的保固截止日...
而不是..."沒有限制的保固"

我對換回來的這一顆是否為8MB buffer比較看重，畢竟維修問題丟給紐頓或是捷元即可，卻沒想到竟是這樣意外的結果

另外，我用SiSoftware Sandra總是測不出HD的buffer size
不知是要執行哪一樣測試才對？
