General Picture:

About 1-1.5% of the population is having schizophrenia, a disease of the brain. This illness brings “so real” fantasy and hallucinations to patient’s daily life. Patients are unable to think and speak clearly and logically. In some severe cases, some patients are unable to maintain their social, occupational or self-care functioning level.


You may have schizophrenia if you experience some or all the following:


1. Unable to think clearly and logically, unable to join a conversation

2. Believes that newspapers or TV programs are sending you personal messages

4. Believes that your thoughts can be heard by others

5. Hear voices telling you what to do or warning you of danger or hear several voices carrying a conversation regarding you

6. Your family life, social life, work performance and your ability to manage everyday business have been significantly influenced by the above problems
