Well, currently I have Yamaha, Lite-On, LG, Samsung, Mitsumi and Sony.
I used to have Asus and Aopen.
Benq, Imation and TDK I never had a chance to use it
I have no idea at all
Since you are only using it to burn Pictures or data
it makes not much in different..
If you really want to say which one is better, I would say either Sony or Samsung... since I don't usually people complain about this two companies. There are quiet a few complains about Asus, but just matter of small problems, nothing serious.
By the way, Sony is oem of Lite-on.
