As we'd expect, given their guide: full Trilinear. Curiously look what happens when the driver control panels are kep the same but the exe of the d3d version is renamed to "ut2003.exe":

(I kid you not, please try this yourselves) Not actually that much of a surprise, since when knew they were dropping down the filtering levels. However, clearly they are advocating the use of this application to demonstrate the filtering quality and then doing something else when the "ut2003.exe" was detected.

感覺這個世界真是小呀XD
更有趣的是下面有人提到這個:

B3D自己的ALBATRON GeForceFX 5200 Ultra 128MB review寫著:
Notes
All games and synthetic benchmark executables were re-named to "beyond3d.exe" as a measure to deter any application name detection and hence optimizations by drivers that may produce results other than specified in the drivers/display control panel. Unreal Tournament 2003 proved a little tricky when it comes to renaming its "ut2003.exe". If you rename it to "beyond3d.exe" (as I did), you'll need to create a .BMP file in the game's \Help\ directory called "BEYOND3DLogo.bmp". What I did was simply make a copy of the existing "UT2003Logo.bmp" and rename that copy to "BEYOND3DLogo.bmp".
大意是說,測試的game和benchmark會先改名為"beyond3d.exe"
理由呢?

其實我測coloredmip的起源也是因為Dave的另一篇討論
