現在比較 DOOM3 的效能太早了
ATI 的驅動程式不只尚未對 DOOM3 做最佳化
甚至在測試驅動程式時
並未將 DOOM3 納入
這和 NV 是有很大的差別的
NV 早在之前就已經針對 DOOM3 最最佳化了
John Carmack 說了以下的話
while I'm sure Nvidia did extensive testing, and knew that their card was going to come out comfortably ahead with the demo they prepared, right now, they don't actually know if the demo that we recorded for them puts them in the best light.
所以 Carmack 又準備了另外一段 DEMO
讓 benchmark 不會一面倒向 NV
但就算如此
它的核心幾乎可以說是相同
能改變的還是有限

現在利用 C3.2 及 DetonatorFX 的效能做比較是沒意義的
真正實力上的差別
要看三個月後驅動程式所得到的測試成績
