save DVD file to CD?
 

b/c that DVD video clip file is very small, only about 100MB. I think it's kind of wasting to save it to DVD disc. CD disc should be a cheaper choice.
however, not sure if save that DVD file to CD disc, can it still playback ok? machine treats it as CD or DVD? can VCD player play it or must use DVD player to watch?
I plan to use Nero to burn such file to disc after know which disc to use.

The CD is called mini-DVD, it is playable on DVD player (not VCD player) only if the player supports this kind of format.

I don't think you can play it on VCD player, since DVD's file format is MPEG2, while VCD's is MPEG1.
A file format known as MiniDVD is used for CD-R, typical is the same as DVD's layout. Maybe you can try it, but can only be played in some DVD player as I know, ... but not sure, just in my opinion.

這種事情我常做,先決條件你要先找台能支援mini-dvd格式的dvd-player.我有兩台sunplus(凌陽)晶片的player就都支援.
若用播放程式就無所謂,powerdvd能放(用cd-rom也可以)

player是需要硬體上支援(decode chip要能解mpeg2+能辨認CD-R上的DVD結構),播放程式見\video_ts\就去播了,那管DVD還是CD...

TMPGEnc DVD Author餵它700MB,它也做DVD檔...

I paid 9 dollars for a quality DVD disc. How much did you
pay for your cd-r? And how about the time ?

If your clips are very small and you're considering price as an important factor, then I suggest you should save more clips on a proper DVD. When consider the price in repect of storage no doubt DVD is much cheaper than CD. Not only it is cheaper but also remember that MiniDVD is not playable on all machines. Besides, it will save you alot of storing space.

so give up to save small DVD file onto CD.

but now, how about reverse?
want to save CDs/VCDs onto 1 DVD.

usually pay $6~8 for DVD, $5 for CD.
