DOS Games and AGP
 

Anybody facing problem running dos games using AGP display card?

I fail to run DOS Games such as DOOM, DOOM2 on my 2 PC which installed with S3 Trio3d AGP and MX400 AGP. Everytime I run the games, the PCs reboot automatically. I only can play those games on my old P200 MMX with S3 Virge PCI

Any solutions?

Are you sure its AGP's problem?

coz i played all the games u said on my computer, they all worked fine.

The only software that i cannot use properly was Win3.1, coz there was no driver supported under Win3.1!!

You may check it's other hardware or software's problems, such as sound card.

I Suggest that you use pure Dos to play those games. I use PC-Dos 7.0

My card is AIW Radeon AGP!!

I use pure DOS. All my friends also facing the same problem. We try to remove the AGP and use PCI dispaly card, and it's working fine. So we suspect that DOS games may be no compatible with the AGP architecture.

That really shouldn't happen... have you checked your config.sys and autobatc.bat ?
