CES 06 : Décodage H.264 chez NV sur GeForce 6/7

L'éditeur de logiciels multimédia Cyberlink présente au CES sa solution de décodage vidéo des flux H.264 s'appuyant sur l'accélération matérielle des processeurs graphiques NVIDIA. C'est ici une surprise puisque c'est Cyberlink qui nous informe que les processeurs graphiques NVIDIA sont capables d'aider au décodage du H.264. Et contrairement à la solution AVIVO d'ATI dont seuls les nouveaux Radeon X1000 sont capables de décoder les flux H.264, chez NVIDIA les actuels GeForce 6 seraient capables d'aider au décodage, tout comme naturellement les GeForce 7. Ne nous réjouissons toutefois pas trop vite les GeForce 6800 de type NV40 et NV45 n'étant certainement pas aptes à profiter du plein potentiel de l'accélération PureVideo, l'implémentation du moteur étant défectueuse sur ces puces. Cyberlink s'appuie donc sur la technologie PureVideo de NVIDIA et sur son nouveau pack H.264 DxVA Decoder pour PowerDVD

NV 在 CES 2006 有秀出 H.264 硬解的畫面，只是它 Demo 用的是 WinDVD 耶..
