話說昨天拿起書來看
想加強一下自己的腦袋
看到一句不懂的英文
來問問各位先賢為什麼這樣寫

Oliver has always had an obsession with image
that made would-be fans a little uneasy.

為什麼後面要用made啊？

made 造成 Oliver has always had an obsession with image 這一句
所以 would-be fans a little uneasy

還是不大懂...

整句的意思我懂

【Oliver has always had an obsession with image】
因此 made
【 those would-be fans a little uneasy】

我想請問的是：為什麼這邊要用過去式的made？
還是可能因為前後文tense的關係？謝謝。
(這是沒有前後文的TIME語彙，所以才這樣猜)

has 後面跟了這兩個PP?
這樣我懂為什麼要用made
但是句型就變成看不懂的樣子了…

如果是您的說法 that 不是應該換成 and 嗎？
看來要去買文法書好好重讀…

made would-be fans a little uneasy 應該是去形容 image 這個被 Oliver has always had an obsession with 的主體。

不過就算知道句型架構，光看這句我還是不知道它在講啥? 樓主是從那看來的? 有前後文嗎?

If you know that "that" is the word to connect "image" and "made blablabla", you shouldn't be wrong.

The problem is that the color you used to highlight could lead him to wrong direction.

Oliver 一直對(過去讓(有機會成為他fans的人)覺得困擾的形象)有一種obsession。

沒有前後文，我猜這句是這個意思，但是翻成中文變得很饒口...
括弧中的句子是一個subject
他用made應該純粹是因為那是過去的事情
現在的情形有可能是：
1. Oliver迷戀（be obssessed with)的那個形象(image)"現在"已經不再造成fans的困擾了，就是說他的fans現在很能接受他的形象了。
2. Oliver現在的形象不同了，所以那些有可能成為他fans的人，真的變成fans了。但是Oliver仍然很嚮往之前的那個形象。

其實這句的那個 "image" 之前應該要有一個 "the" 才對吧。

你是對的，只是我總是不太確定那個 would-be fans 是不是指 Oliver 的 fans...
或是 Oliver 只是 one of the fans...
