forgot it was in 2004 or even earlier, an American com debut a special DVD disc which only can last few days after you opened the package. $ is about the cost you pay for BlockBuster renting fee, but you don't need to return the disc since it's no longer useful.

now this disc is released in JP, called 48DVD.

in factory sealed package, it can last whole yr fresh status. once you opened it, disc starts chemical changing from red to black. before it's dead, you can playback as many times as you want. in real test, it last more than 48 hrs. you still can playback movie in after 60hr. but when it's 72hr, movie playback is a problem, paused, mosaic, unsmooth.....

so they did another test to extend disc lifetime.
b/c such special chemical coating on disc changes after exposured to air. if can isolate air, disc life may be extended. they put disc into water...... result is....... :confused: you have to try it by yourself to find out.

you can see its color changes from original red to black, in 24/48/72 hr.

部是因為環保問題而停產了嗎

這種有保存期限的片子以前就曾聽過
主要是用來出租用的
不必歸還，幾天之後自然失效，無法播放 ！

想辦法延長保存期限
還不如趁尚未失效之前就用DVD燒錄機備份下來 ！

這種片子對於租用人很方便，不必花時間去歸還
不過影片出租店成本可能會提高
所以應該很難普及 ！
而且一大堆過期失效的片子 ，也會造成環保問題 ！

其實不用花大錢來研究這種碟片,使用錸德的片不就一段時間資料就會自動消失了嗎? :unbelief:

這大概是中情局釋出的科技，不過印象中中情局的光碟還會自己燒燬並溶化耶
而台灣的萊德應該是出錯貨了，錯把國安局的貨當成一般貨在出
不過想想咱們國安局能有什麼重大情報需要用這樣的光碟
