(但是我依法安裝成功,卻還是不能玩,會跳出小視窗)

以下轉錄方法,可是我的win2000sp4還是不能玩,是需要登錄檔還是哪裡出錯嗎?


AOE3 Demo in Win2K

In case there are still a few Win2K holdouts wanting to run the AoE3 Demo, here's a workaround I found:

1. Start aoe3trial.exe
2. It creates a new folder (_is(and some number)) at

"C:Dokumente und Einstellungen<aktueller Benutzer>Lokale Einstellungen emp"
(Don't know what this is with an english Win2k...Maybe C:Documents and Settings<your username>Local Settings emp)

3. Wait for the error message (Note: don't click "ok")
4. Copy the "Age of Empires III Trial.msi" from the mentioned Temp folder to C:
5. Rename the file to ao3.msi
6. Go to the command console (START>RUN>cmd) and type: msiexec /a C:ao3.msi /qn TARGETDIR="C:lah"

Wait a few moments.

7. Start C:lahAge of Empires IIIage3.exe

Works for me. The only thing I would add is that is isn't immediately obvious it's doing anything after running the command, thus the "wait a few moments" step. But it runs alright so far for me. Now everyone can join in on the bellyaching about the size of the UI

6. Go to the command console (START>RUN>cmd) and type: msiexec /a C:ao3.msi /qn TARGETDIR="C:lah"
