Desde hace algún tiempo se viene rumoreando en diversos foros la posibilidad de que Canon tenga preparada una nueva cámara digital, que se situaría entre la 20D y la Mark II, y podría ser una versión D (digital) de la EOS 3.

Pues bien, a falta de un comunicado oficial, estos rumores van tomando cada vez más cuerpo y a día de hoy las especificaciones técnicas que se le atribuyen a la ahora conocida como Canon EOS 5D son las siguientes:

• Sensor full-frame (35.8 x 23.9mm) o algo menor con factor 1.3
• Resolución de 12,8 Mp.
• Cuerpo de tamaño similar al de la 20D.
• Sistema de enfoque de 9 puntos.
Su precio podría rondar sobre los 2.500 euros, se presentaría en Junio o Julio, y comenzaría a venderse en Septiembre. Ya veremos lo que pasa… aunque si nos fijamos en la EOS 5 original (la analógica), fue la primera cámara del mundo con sistema de enfoque controlado por el ojo (aunque solo funcionaba con la cámara en horizontal).
