要買 ATi TV Wonder Elite 前, 先來看看吧
 

在 2004 年 9 月的促銷新聞稿中說明 ATI Theater 550 將有 MMC 支持, 同時並刊出一篇使用 MMC 的圖片. 基本上目前大部分市場上的 Sapphire Theatrix 550 都在說明書內註明說可以支援 MMC 9.04.

今年二月 (2005) 詢問 ATi 時, 卻得到這樣的回應.
"There will not be a Multimedia Center for the Theatre 550 based TV cards. The Cyberlink program is meant to be a replacement for the Multimedia software."

MMC 9.03 並不支援 550 Pro, 本來說 9.04 會支援, 但是 9.04 被取消了.
將出的是 9.06, (9.06 已出) 並不支援 550.

這為什麼有關係? 因為 cyberlink 的軟體:
1) 沒有 bitrate control;
2) 沒有 vbr control;
3) 不能儲存 mpegs 在 non-system drives;
4) 不能使用 s-video or composite 至少設定中沒有.
5) 沒有 EPG (Not the version bundled with the Sapphire).

沒有 MMC 支援的 TV Wonder Elite 只是一個笑話, ATi 甚至公開表示不會繼續支援.

要買前, 多想想.

難道只能買AIW系列了 :(
