long one is it not yet ago that ATi presented a row of new diagram maps of the wheel on series of the world public. However these possess a large deficiency in the eyes of many: There are it only for the new PCI express interface, which is common in home PCS still only few.

The fact that ATi wants not to lock for this still very large market and can might be clear probably meanwhile all. And in such a way one looked eagerly for a solution, in order to make the R480 and the R430 fit for the AGP interface. With the R480, which is blocked in the new Radeon X850-Serie, one went a quite pedantic way and conceived directly a revised R481-Chip, which will probably be delivered already soon .

Radeon X850 beautifully and well. Unfortunately these diagram maps are extremely expensive and are not thus hardly suitable for partly not the mass-market beglueckten with a money gene, which craves for diagram maps below the 300-Euro-Grenze. Here ATi to time with the R430 which is based on the R423 has a hot iron in the fire; however for the moment only - who would have it differently expected - for PCI express. But also concerning the R430, respectively the Radeon X800 XL, seems the rescue for all owners of a AGP system close, because on a Chinese Website today a picture of such Radeon with AGP-8x-Steckplatz emerged.
