Tyan、SLI對應Opteron主機板「Thunder K8WE」「Thunder K8SRE」發表
 

Tyan Computer、NVIDIA發佈Opteron使用最新晶片組「nForce Professional」發表、同時搭載2製品發表。

「Thunder K8WE(S2895)」、主要由nForce Professional 2200/2050與PCI-XAMD-8131構成、配置兩根PCI-Express x16。2200與2050組合同時使用時合計共有40條 lanes,可以使用、SLI時能提供x16寬足的頻寬使用。

每個CPU各管理四條記憶體。擴充插槽方面、PCI-Express x16兩組對應、32トPCI×1組、PCI-X×3(133MHz×1、100MHz×2)裝配。內建機能dual GbE and USB 2.0, IEEE 1394, SATA-II (RAID 0/1/0+1 correspondence), SCSI and 5.1 channel audio etc..

「Thunder K8SRE(S2891)」基本上是給1U使用的。由nForce Professional 2200とAMD-8131構成。PCI-Express x16單組對應、內建顯示採用ATI「RAGE XL」。

CPU各管理四組記憶體插槽、擴充插槽方面支援PCI-Express x16與PCI-X(100MHz)各1組。另外還搭載同社獨自的TARO SO-DIMM。內建機能支援 dual GbE and USB 2.0, SATA II (RAID 0/1/0+1 correspondence) and the like.
