動畫電影「Final Fantasy」手錶.
 

Even sweeter than that is the new Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within watch from Seiko.

In the film Dr. Ross wears a device on her wrist that's crucial to the fate of her mission: the wrist holo. This device is capable of alerting Aki to imminent danger by detecting the presence of life forms.

Here you see the "2001 version" – inspired by the device in the film, as well as a concept version that's more of a representation of the one from the film. The "2065 version" as it is called is unfortunately not for sale.

The 2001 model sports a square numeral digital display with four modes (time, chronograph, countdown, alarm).

The time mode displays the year, month, day, hour, minute, second. It is 12-hour to 24-hour. It has a fully automatic calendar through 2046. By that time they'll probably have the first-generation holo versions out anyway!

The backlighting is electroluminescent backlighting, and the display shows green digits against black background.

All that, and it's water resistant up to 100 meters! Woo hoo!

The suggested retail price is $200, and it should be available late June 2001.
