The magic of Willow arrives on DVD today. Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment and Lucasfilm Ltd. present the 1988 classic film as a Special Edition DVD release.
The film itself has been THX digitally re-mastered for superior sound and picture quality, and for the first time, is presented in a new 5.1 Dolby surround sound mix. The DVD features a number of extras, including a full length commentary by actor Warwick Davis, an all-new documentary showcasing Willow's groundbreaking effects, a classic behind-the-scenes documentary, original theatrical trailers and TV spots, still photos and more.

Willow tells the tale of a novice sorcerer (Davis) and a rogue swordsman (Val Kilmer) fighting together to protect a magical infant said to hold the power to bring down an evil queen's rule. Directed by Ron Howard, Willow features a screenplay by Bob Dolman based on a story by George Lucas.

The DVD release is priced to own at $26.98. Willow will also be available on VHS for $14.98.
