被控不當處理機密資訊 美前國安顧問波頓不認罪

波頓於16日遭起訴，起訴書指控波頓透過電子郵件將機密文件分享給兩名
「未經授權人士」，雖未指名，但外界相信這兩人是他的妻子與女兒。

美國司法部表示，這些文件「揭露了有關未來攻擊、外國對手以及外交政策關係的情報」。

每一項罪名最高可判處10年監禁。

波頓在聲明中否認指控，表示自己「已成為司法部政治化運作下的最新受害者」。

波頓庭後無保請回，下一次庭訊日期定於11月21日。

波頓遭控不當處理機密資訊與川普「密件門」案有何不同？

波頓與川普同樣都因為擅自保留國家安全機密資料而面臨多項起訴，
觸犯美國法典(United States Code)第10編(Title 10)第793(e)條的間諜法
(Espionage Act)條款。兩件起訴案中，檢方取得法院搜索令之後，
分別從川普、波頓住所搜出機密文件成為罪證。
川普遭到38項罪名起訴，波頓面臨8項罪名起訴。

兩案最大不同之處在於，川普還因為拒絕交出文件而面臨妨礙司法的起訴，
只有波頓面臨傳送機密訊息起訴。
