apple give special price to educational user (school, teachers, students) the NEW 23 inch retail for $1999, but through educational discount, it cost only $1699 DIRECTLY from APPLE. (worldwide warranty) i think it is a SUPER good deal.

the new apple panal has usb and firewire hub build in the display. so you can run single cable to your tower.

I had compared L2335 and the 23" Apple before purchasing.

They use the exact same panel by LG-Phillips but the dif. is that 23" apple has only DVI input while 2335 has component/dvi/svideo.. etc.

You can eventually use the 2335 as HTPC display while 23" apple cannot. The apple isn't anything else than a eyetoy in your room.

The 2335 still catches a lot of attention while having more options. :)

In that case you might just as well get rid of the "PC" in "HTPC".

I got my OLD 23inch that way, probably saved $200 by doing so.
