八卦網昨天有貼一篇災情報告, 今天下架了, 有人的pcie陣亡, 目前插到第二個pcie應急,
但仍屬八卦...

這網站測起來還蠻正常的,符合150W峰值,越來越期待RX470。

找到昨天被wccftch下架的案例

有人(roquen22)的pcie在玩了7小時的巫師3後陣亡了, 目前插另一個pcie,
但苦主目前不敢再玩遊戲, 主機板asrock 970 extreme4, 他把480超到1350...
(苦主一直被人家質疑是來亂的~~)

PCIe eletromechanical specs:

16x, FULL HEIGHT card (half-height the limit is smaller, less than 16x is smaller too).

1. PCI-e slot can have TOTAL of 75W
2. The 12v pins of the slot can have at 12v in total 66W, the limit is actually in amperage (5.5A), meaning if you have vdrop, the W limit lowers too. For example, during the test of a Brazillian reviewer, the 12v dropped to 11.4V, this results in your limit being now 62W.
3. The ATX PCI-E cables must use 12V wires.
4. The PCI-E cables are 6 pin, or 8 pin, the 6pin has a limit of 6.25A, and 8pin limit of 12.5A (thus again, if you have vdrop, your W limit lowers!)
5. Allowed PCI-E cables: 1x6, 1x8, 6+6, 6+8. 8+8 cards exists, but is out of spec, anything beyond that is way out of spec.

Thus the biggest card you can make regarding 12V power (that is what GPU cards tend to draw) is 5.5A for the slot, 18.75A for 8+6 pin ATX cable.
If you have zero voltage drop, this mean the power limit is 291W, IF the GPU has 8pin and 6pin cable. (it is where people are pulling the "300W" limit from)
If you voltage dropped for example to 11.2V (common with cheaper PSUs), the limit is 271W, and if you are a overclocker and overvolt to 12.8V for example, then your power limit is 310W

The RX480 is a single 6-pin GPU, its limits according to the specs are 5.5A (12V) from the slot, and 6.25A from the PSU.

At zero voltage drop (pure 12v), this means it should pull at most 66W from the slot, and 75W from the PSU.
At voltage drop of 11.4v for example, that is what a reviewer saw using a MSI Overclocker motherboard + AX1500i Corsair PSU, the limits are: 62.7W from the slot, and 71.25W from the PSU.

Mind you, what damages the motherboard, pins, connectors, wires, etc... is the amperage, not the raw amount of watts, people that actually used amperage measurement saw the RX 480 with stock settings going 30, 40% over the limit on average (not peak) use. This is outright dangerous, lower quality components might actually caught fire.

You are wrong.

It pulls 80W from the 12V pins, that have limit of 5.5A, that would be 66W if there is no voltage drop, but excessive current raises resistance of the copper, and causes voltage drop, Brazillian reviewer that actually measured amperage (because he mostly review PSUs, and was asked by a PSU company to review their rebadged RX 480) saw that on their high quality overclocker mobo it was dropping to 11.4V and drawing 90W when running Unigine on 100% stock settings, this translates to 7.8A, way above 5.5A... and sufficient to melt PCI-e pins of cheaper mobos (that probably have a even bigger vdrop, thus evne higher amperage).

over spec已經不是效能不效能問題
這個狀況比3.5GB殘廢ROPs更嚴重
燒掉還好 就怕沒燒掉結果起火燃燒

這張卡沒辦法解決問題之前真的沒法下手 不想火燒厝

應該是超頻後的溫度飆高,造成漏電流以指數型態激增,耗電量才會因此失控
非公RX480若能把溫度壓制在60度上下,我猜即使超頻應該也不會爆功耗

+1 我也認同 公版的散熱太鳥了 如更換均熱板或熱導管應該就能大幅改善問題 :like:

拆散熱=失去保固

背面鎖chip那邊四角鐵架上有貼紙 可能怕崩die

最好是支持一家廠商支持到這等程度
都什麼時代了 現在已經不流行自換散熱 除非要改水冷
有8pin+好散熱方案再談 不過 還來的及嗎 1060要來了

AMD倒一倒重組好了 嘴炮那麼多 只剩三流RD了嗎 永遠PPT
資料也不敢放 NV就大方多了 至少big frame給出來
Pascal多Maxwell什麼東西一目了然

就這樣水準沒辦法盲目支持下去 也不想等Zen了 我最後一台AMD也要換Intel
誰知道Zen出來之後是不是又PPT 說好的追平2代Core Architecture又跳票

這個之前八卦網就有提到了, 用了好散熱器與雙6或單8, 超頻容易多了,
(不過小弟不想再被催眠了, 出了再說)

以公版來說, 480這次恐怕連NV老三1060都打不過, 更不用提P/W, 小弟也是失望,
但還是先觀望480、470非公如何, 不然可能要走絕對效能了...

這比較沒意義
效能比較好 比較貴
但如果效能沒有比較好 價格又比較貴 真的就是賣信仰了

多20%價格 多20%效能
套用在1070身上也是一樣.
1060若真的是這種定價 還不如直上1070
畢竟規格比較完整
1萬2買1060 6G 跟買 980TI 意義差不多 根本沒啥升級感~

真正有CP的 還是480 4G

溫度是boost頻率穩定的第一關
功耗、電流限制是boost頻率穩定的第二關

預設目標溫度80度開始降頻可以透過提高風扇轉速或者放寬提高目標溫度解決
但單純只解決溫度是無用的

RX 480撇開散熱器之外的最大問題就是預設TGP 150W連預設DMP7 BOOST STATE 1266Mhz都穩定不了

真正的問題在於必須放寬power limit,RX 480 Reference要在高壓下穩住預設1266Mhz甚至要超頻,power limit+50%是必需的,雙6pin甚至單8pin才足以負荷
