「以夷制夷」?進軍中國低價機,HTC繼年初與BYD合作後,再傳『山寨』精神,串連白牌手機最大資源的IDH - 龍旗(紅米2)及聞泰(紅米1),正面承認中國低端機市場的價值。



年出貨量逾4,000萬支的SONY,有3個中低價機種的ODM代工廠;年出貨量約2,000萬支的HTC也準備了3家,誰為強者,半年後見分曉。

PS:
獨立手機方案商很多是出自中興,如龍旗、聞泰、華勤、鼎為、優思、展英通等十數家。2012年Top 10方案商中,有五家是中興系(龍旗、華勤、聞泰、鼎為、銳嘉科),一線廠龍旗、華勤算是引領風騷。

黑莓財報悽慘,分析師振奮?

Blackberry上季財報慘賠,並同時宣布與鴻海旗下富智康(FIH Mobile Limited)策略聯盟,未來五年委其代工手機。鴻海指出,與黑莓『策略合作夥伴關係新創業務』,計畫在2014年初,針對印尼等快速成長智慧型手機市場,以及包括墨西哥在內的其他新興市場,展開合作。據悉,此款產黑莓代號Jakarta的手機,由於鴻海尚未拍板印尼設廠地點,將先在富智康的中國大陸廠製造。

台媒引述MarketWatch報導,Constellation Research分析師Ray Wang指出,投資人並不是因為黑莓有救了而感到興奮,而是富士康具抬轎作價功能,將有利黑莓尋找合作其它夥伴,並順勢找機會嫁入豪門

外媒另外指出:

Analysts are heartened to some extent by what is seen as substantially less risk to the balance sheet by making Foxconn carry the risk for handsets. That partnership should allow the company to remove some of the liability for inventory, which has led to huge write-downs for BlackBerry this year.


The five-year partnership with contract manufacturer Foxconn will remove our exposure, at least a big part of the exposure, if not a majority of our exposure, of inventory, so I’m hoping we never have to have a conversation going forward about inventory write downs.

應用處理器速度有增無減,被動散熱已然無法完全紓解手機需求,降頻頻見。自今年五月中NEC-Casio全球首發熱管式水冷手機Medias X N-06E後,手機廠瞬見曙光。半年後,『熱管』效應發酵,眼見熱管手機即將到來。

石墨片加銅箔的傳統散熱方式僅能有效導熱至熱源附近,在高速化的處理器與基頻普及之際,逐漸難以應對。比Ultrabook中的1~1.2mm類型更纖細的0.6mm超薄熱管,挾其更優異的散熱效率(13倍)運用在手機中,便得以依規畫布局將廢熱更均勻分流至手機表面區域,散熱成果較石墨片平均少2度。

雖然熱管的手機應用早有投入,但宥於技術門檻與良率,ODM廠未敢貿然採用。據稱,目前日系FujiKura、Furukawa與台系CCI、Tyso四廠家已通過認証並具量產能力,而熱管與石墨片兩方案的成本範圍各在US$1.2~2.0、US$1.0~2.0,差距不大,可望被大幅採用;而更先進的0.4~0.5mm類型也在開發中。

順勢而上,連手機用的超薄風扇,都有人端出來了。散熱模組的傳統產業,再現風華,CCI與Tyso股價同慶。

只是超薄熱管半年前良率僅30%,如今精進幾何?還有當年NB用熱管漏水失效頻傳的隱憂,ODM廠已然釋懷?
