這個基本上我持保留的態度啦!! 因為還是要跟電視卡Driver相配合吧, 不一定能用

訊號差也是可能把它變好的, 除非訊源真的很糟啦, 我的ATi e-Home Wonder把原本有一些雜訊的頻道變的好很多, 新一代的Theater 550應該雜訊去除的能力會更強喔...

1. WHQL 不是Media Center能不能認的到電視卡之"必要"條件.

只要符合 Media Center的驅動程式, 沒有WHQL,
Media Center還是認的到電視卡, 可以用.
我就有很多套沒有WHQL的Conexant Blackbird MCE Driver.
也都可以用Media Center.
當然也有很多套WHQL的Conexant Blackbird MCE Driver.

事實上, WHQL Driver 和送測的非WHQL Driver,
只有 *.CAT檔案不一樣.
(WHQL Driver 有微軟的 *.CAT 檔案 取代送測空的*.CAT 檔案 . )

現在都是廠商自測, 將log檔案傳到微軟.幾天後微軟傳回微軟的 *.CAT 檔案, 將微軟的 *.CAT 檔案和測的非WHQL Driver放在同一目錄,就是WHQL Driver.
(微軟每次收取US$1xx~2xx., 微軟真會賺錢,
誰說WHQL Driver微軟會負責? Bill Gates ?)

PS: 如果你將WHQL DRIVER 中的INF檔案用NOTEPAD增加幾行空白行存檔後, WHQL DRIVER 就變成沒有WHQL.

PS:微軟的WHQL認證 和 ISO9000認證 有很多類似的地方.

2. Encoder和顯示卡有何關係 ? Decoder 才和顯示卡有關係.
軟體Encoder 當然是用CPU來作.
Encoder : 壓縮
Decoder : 解壓縮

Software MPEG-2 Decoder for MCE :
有一堆可以用, InterVideo WinDVD 5/WinDVD 6, CyberLink PowerDVD5, NVIDIA NVDVD,....

Software MPEG-2 Encoder for MCE :
目前只有ATI有, 但是ATI 的Software MPEG-2 Encoder for MCE只能用在ATI 產品.
情況類似WinFast PVR 不能用在Compro電視卡的道理是一樣.

請問你目前有用Media Center 2005嗎?? 你用哪一套DVD Decoder, 我現在是用nVidia DVD Decoder 1.00.58的版本, 但是要收費的...但跟我的nVida顯示卡最合適, 用起來沒問題...

因為WinDVD 6還沒拿到MCE專用版, 目前的版本在我的nVida顯示卡上不能撥DVD-Video, 還有SPDIF passthrough的問題...

用PowerDVD, Suspend from S3, 再撥LiveTV或DVD會frame drop

以上都是在我的硬體環境試出來的, 詳情見簽名...

WinDVD 6 或是 WinDVD Theater 內建的 Codec 和 MCE 2005 完全相容, 這兩套我都有裝, 不需要所謂特殊的WinDVD 6 MCE版本... :agree:

1. 用WinDVD6 中的 ivivideo.ax 6.0.6.56, 不要用 ivimcevd.ax 6.0.6.56.
在MCE2005下, 裝完WinDVD6後, 用"Windows XP Video Decoder Checkup Utility" 將"Preferred Decoder"設成 ivivideo.ax 6.0.6.56.

2.PowerDVD 5 for MCE <版本不便公開>目前還有問題. 解決Frame Drop問題,但是常發生"Video Error". 不建議使用.

3.InterVideo WinDVD5 OEM 版本正在各家廠商測試.
不久後, 電視卡/VGA卡等附贈的WinDVD5都是MCE Compatible.
<缺點是OEM 版本大部份是2-channel>

這樣設定會有什麼差異呢?? 因為我沒這樣設定也可以正常使用啊...!!

我碰到的問題是Play DVD不正常. myTV 可以正常使用.
說不定不是Software Decoder的問題, 而是微軟的問題
