To get CPU/133 PCI/33 from GA-6OEXT
 

Hello Adol,

May I know how do you get PCI div factor of 4 from the GA-6OEXT? I am using a Celeron 1.2G with GA-6OXET-C / F8 bios. I tried to get it run at 133/33 but with no success. I even soldered the SW1 to the board to make it just like the GA-6OEXT but setting to 133 cause the system with no post.

I can make the CPU/board to post at 133/44 so it must be a PCI div factor problem.

近期皆發現有不少網友在技嘉主機板GA-60XET-C上不能4倍除頻
不過較早購買的版子並不會發生這些問題
曾懷疑是BIOS的問題
小弟跟Adol老大也把BIOSe更新成F8
還是可以4倍除頻
也借ㄌ幾塊版子試試
這問題大都發生在60XET-C上
這問題有反應給技嘉
技嘉方面表示
會對市售的60XET-C與BIOS(F8)進行測試
如果有錯誤將會提供新的BIOS供使用者更新
不過至今還沒有消息
但以您自己焊上指撥開關(SW1)
外頻在133而PCI還是44這就有點奇怪ㄌ........
有機會在試試看

Thanks for the prompt reply and help. Actually I have tried BIOS version F8, F7 and F4 and none of them can get me pass the POST sequence whenever the 6th switch of SW1 is ON. (Actually 6th = ON =No Post)..

I believe it is a compatibility issue with the Celeron 1.2G. If there is no 133/33, it can't even support ordinary P3/133...

At the article at overclocker.com.tw, I find they are using a BIOS version of F4d. I don't know if it would help.

I am at Hong Kong and have e-mail both Gigabyte Taiwan and USA for help. Still haven't got a reply from them....
