在商業的應用......早就有了!!
已經停航的協和號就是第一架超音速客機!!
不知是前年還是什麼時候.....
因票價太貴,不堪虧損......停航了!!!
Discovery還有播出失事時的調查紀錄片!!

我一直以為協和號是接近音速,並沒有超越音速,剛找了資料,協和號的確有超過音速,而且高達2.04馬赫,整整快過音速兩倍....太猛了 :p

when the plane breaks the sounds barrier the peaks of the sounds waves superimpose (add up) which creates an increase in pressure (sound is just a pressure wave) when the pressure drops back to normal the water in the air condeses into fog at the point where the plane broke the sound barrier

這張照片數年前在聯合報上出現過.
當飛機的速度在接近音速附近時,
然後加上足夠的大氣溼度,
氣流通過機身時;
從高壓區流向低壓區的氣流,
當中的水氣(溼度夠)
會凝結成如照片上所見的狀況.
網路上有很多這類的照片與mpeg檔.

還有~這現象跟音爆無關!
