這樣寫 除了 have never been 是動詞之外 後面的 received 不也是動詞嗎?
所以小弟才把它改成分詞receving~
還是您這樣寫 是把received當作形容詞子句的動詞 但是您又省略了關係代名詞?
(There have never been so many women that received college degrees as today.您省略了that)
印象中似乎形容詞子句若不是主詞+動詞的句型 應該不能逕行省略~

我省略who had received
