小弟以前有發生這樣子的狀況...尤其是把電腦開個三四天之後就會不定期的出現
後來把顯示卡的散熱做好了...這個問題就迎刃而解了...:like:
原廠的散熱裝置根本不能讓你電腦久久不關機來使用...建議您最好換掉

小弟遇到的現象是,開啟TV一段時間後,這時間長短不定,可能只要三分鐘,也可能八小時後
總之,就是偶爾會遇到MMC.EXE執行失敗,顯然連帶讓顯示卡的驅動程式也失敗,螢幕設定變成640*480 256色的模樣
此時必須重開機,重開機後就一切恢復正常,但重開機的過程往往要等很久,似乎是在等某個程式回應
好,遇到這種事,我首先想到的是過熱,所以我買了些小散熱片貼在顯示卡記憶體與RAGE THEATER晶片上
並沒有用
(後來想想,玩3D遊戲玩好幾個小時都沒事,應該不是熱的問題才對)
再猜測,說不定又是ATI那名聲不太好的程式有問題
但是從CAT3.5一路用到現在CAT3.9,還包括COD那個特別版的DRIVER,都會有一樣的問題
在MMC方面,也是8.6與8.7都用過,問題都一樣會發生
然後,今天我自己花了點心思(我平常真的不會想去看英文網頁的)

Some customers have reported that ATI TV Player may stop responding or lock up on a system which features a Hyper-Threaded CPU. Not all systems are affected.
Hyper-Threading Technology enables the CPU to execute two threads (parts of a software program) in parallel - for increased software efficiency and more effective multitasking.
Microsoft has posted a Knowledge Base Article - 817589, stating a fix is now available for Windows XP.

SYMPTOMS
When you use a the TV tuner feature of your soundcard, the TV tuner program may stop responding (hang).
CAUSE
This problem may occur if your processor uses hyperthread technology.
RESOLUTION
A supported fix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This fix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Windows XP service pack that contains this fix.

但是我有試過到BIOS裏關掉HT,狀況還是一樣會發生
看微軟的說法,似乎是暫時還不會有修正檔
不知道這兒有沒有跟我一樣遭遇的朋友,你們是否有暫時的解決之道？
