遲來的祝加拿大幫中秋+感恩節愉快
前兩天黑豬首都那邊有罕見的龍捲風肆虐
好像停電狀況很嚴重

(老婆那邊有親戚在 kanata, 去年帶親戚去過去，順便到 Tremblant 看楓葉 :o )

上週米國新蛋也爆出 server 中 malware, 目前不敢說有多少客戶資料外洩 :unbelief:

不過好久沒用新蛋了，最近的一兩次記得是用PayPal付款。
不過是有必要上去改個密碼。

just got a power generator last yr...
just can't live without power for everyday usage.

With the population in vancouver, if in an event that
needs to go to school or community center for assistance,
I think staying home with neighbours will be a better idea. :think:

30hr I can live with but 60hrs, thats a bit much.
I think the longest power outage I ever had was with in a day

Your generator can only keep your fridge and electric stove running...

Very few cellphone tower were in working condition, so LTE stuck most of the time... I have a small UPS trying to keep my modem running but there was no signal coming back... Basically nearly all communication was out except the radio on the car... But then I have to drive 60km south to fuel the most important communication device I have in order to receive updates...

According to the news recently... "The new technology made it worse than 50 years ago when nearly all household had at least 1 battery operated handheld radio"...

My idea for generator is actually not for fridges or stoves.

My neighbours have BBQ stovoes in the yard which we can share to use,
generator is for just everyday usage for about 1-2 weeks if needed.

LTE towers, well, they just had this problem in JP recently where the city has no power and ppl got cut off from LTE towers.
So not really counting on that. lol

Fuel? I always got extra fuel in the garage coz we have gas lawnmower, during winter time I have 1 extra jerry can in the garage.

I think having food and water is more important then anything else.
