Dan Smith 將團名取為 Bastille 有兩個原因，一個是碰巧自己的生日（*7月14日）就是法國國慶日-「Bastille Day」，另一個原因是這個紀念吹響法國大革命號角的巴黎人民攻佔巴士底監獄歷史事件的背後所象徵的革命與改變的精神

一種將獨立搖滾樂，電子搖滾，流行樂，民謠，節奏藍調，嘻哈等類型音樂進行創意大撞擊的復古時尚新品種搖滾樂！
